An American in Paris
At the end of the day, how can you not be enthralled by a film that closes with an 18 minute ballet extraveganza that cost almost half a million dollars to make (and that was in 1951). Gene Kelly swoooooooon.
An American in Paris. Paris; it has a grand allure for sleek and sophistication. The only thing that people drink there is champagne and coffee. Deep down inside everyone has is a francophile. (Tom Cruise brain washed Katie Holmes into marrying him at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Barf)
Being a cinephile and fashion obsessor why wouldn’t I want to do the whole “live in Paris” for six months. This is now why I try to practise French everyday. Live the dream.
Live that dream Lise.
This is an American Female in Paris. Milo Roberts.
You can see how they got the Oscar for best Costume Design with colours like this.

Hello costume ball.

Something about this image is wrong….
Ballet chic.
Young Miss Lise. Dressed in simple French chic. The accentuated neck lines go perfectly with her cute crop.
How can you not love this man? He choreographed the whole film and feels comfortable wearing trousers like this.
